CustomFit patterns are all written in pieces from the bottom-up, with a set-in sleeve construction. This offers the most precise fit for the full spectrum of human bodies - set-in sleeves can fit the bicep, shoulders, and armhole independently of one another.
If you prefer not to seam, every pattern does include an overview of how to work the body of a sweater in one piece to the armholes, with the sleeves top-down using short rows. A few caveats about this: The instructions assume basic familiarity with this sweater construction and aren't as detailed as your main CustomFit pattern. Front shaping and back shaping may be different, and you'll need to keep track of that while you're knitting! Finally, some combinations of armhole depth and bicep circumference will make the short row sleeve cap a bit wonky; if you have questions about any of this, please email me and I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
CustomFit can make patterns for women, men, and children down to about age 4; baby sweaters and non-set-in-sleeve constructions are planned for 2018 and beyond.
